It stands on an area once degraded by the excavation of inert materials along the right bank of the Tanaro river. Thanks to a naturalistic engineering project aimed at the reconstruction of one of the river environments once common along the banks of the rivers, it is being transformed into a series of ponds, ponds, islets, lances and reeds.
The birds that move along the Tanaro axis between Asti and Alba find here a protected area for stopping and nesting; among the many species we remember the gray lairone, white great lairone, red lairone, the egret, the bittern, the bittern, the coot, the moorhen, the kingfisher, the marsh harrier. Among the birds that find refuge on the old willows and poplars that survive the total elimination of vegetation, we find various species of tit, the oriole, the stonechat, the blackcap, the robin, the greenfinch.
The presence of reptiles and amphibians is also growing, such as the rat snake, the collared natrix, the green frog (logo of the Oasis) and the crested newt.
