Description

The Reserve contains two distinct morphological aspects: in the eastern part, that of the Gorges, the river flows impetuously between two overhanging rocky reliefs, while in the western part everything transforms and becomes softer, the slopes decrease, the space it widens and the valley bottom connects through a series of natural terraces in the inhabited center. In the territory, where the wild nature of the places has preserved a unique and intact habitat, there are a great variety of flora and fauna species. Thanks to the presence of rocky areas, birds and in particular birds of prey (golden eagle, falcon lanner), find an ideal habitat for their reproduction. Among the many peculiarities, one makes it truly special: the perfect balance between the preservation of one's environment and the presence of man, with the numerous traces it has left over the centuries.
